Heading to Machine Quilters Showcase--and that's not April Fools!
I've been really hustling to finish up some personal quilt projects--like these Easter gifts for the grandboys. I used a 10degree ruler and 36 strips, plus appliqued a circle in the middle. Very easy and quick, AND I got to practice my continuous bias binding(oh boy!). I'm thinking that this playmat could be a very nice shower gift--but have to say that I think next time I'll quilt 2 at once using a 90" wide back--maybe not as much waste?
I've also been pushing to get several customer quilts wrapped up. I'm heading to my sister's house on Wed and we are going to the IMQA Machine Quilters Showcase. I'm taking classes on Gammill maintenance, Linda Taylor and DeLoa Jones and can't wait. I'm ready for a refill on my creativity well.
It was at the IMQA Showcase in 2010 that I decided that I really wanted to try quilting my own projects--the work displayed was just mind boggling and I wanted to boggle people's minds, too!
Will I see you in Wichita?
