Spring is Here!!

We spent the last weekend in Omaha with our son and his family celebrating March birthdays. This included going to CoCoKeys Waterpark (6yr old's birthday) AND a massage (daughter-in-law's birthday). A totally fun weekend. But what was literally a breath of fresh air for all of us was the weather! Spring is Here!

Right along those lines is this wonderful quilt from the Lil Red Hen. I loved this fabric when Jenny first got it in the shop but honestly could not think how, or when, I might use it. So I just pet it everytime I was in the shop. Then she gave me this quilt, along with a "sister" quilt from the same fabric line, same design, but slightly different fabrics thinking maybe I could put one on front, the other back. But our friend Cee, also a long-armer, suggested that she take one and we do them without any real collaboration so it would show how different quilting impacts the same quilt design. We decided she would do a panto and I would custom quilt. I just finished this and am totally loving it! Can't wait to see what Cee has done! Enjoy the weather and think Spring!
