The blood's flowing now!

What a Spring! Besides having car wreck after effects of a blood clot in my leg and looking at spending the summer on a blood thinner and wearing a compression hose (ugh!), the weather has basically been cool and WET. The cool part works well with the compression hose--but the garden is NOT working! I did get some tomatoes and peppers and squash planted in the straw bales in mid-May--but the cool weather has kept them from doing much yet.

But I've been working on the long arm. The 3 weeks leading up to the blood clot diagnosis had kept me from doing much--so this is a big improvement. I got both my Miami Co Quilters' Guild Challenge project done (another picture coming later), but also actually got my "I Put a Hex on You" quilt quilted! I had been "thinking" about this quilt since last October--but stalled cause I was worried about the idea of marking on all that white--and had also been doodling almost weekly on possible designs. I finally figured out that my Gammill ALREADY had a black light on it--so I marked with white chalk and didn't have to worry about it not being removeable. So now I'm ready for the KC Regional Quilt Fest , June 19-21. Can't wait! Will I see you there??
