I retreated and returned!

I just got home from a 3 day quilt retreat with my one Guild. My sister joined me and we had a blast!
Besides our usual stuffing our faces and shopping at the LQS near the retreat, we actually got some quilting done! I pieced a Christmas lap throw using the "disappearing 9 patch" AND actually got the stripped border fabric mitered. Getting that border mitered is never a guarantee for me but thanks to coaching from my friend, Kat, it worked.
I also got my 2yr g-son, Gavin's, ISpy quilt bound. That means both of the g-boys ISpy quilts are finished and ready for Christmas gift-giving. Still have a memory quilt to finish up before Christmas to almost wind up my Christmas sewing. But think I might be commissioned to do a couple of t-shirt quilts for customers for Christmas--so better wind-up my own gifts quickly!
Here's a beautifully pieced sampler quilt I long armed for Kat--she knew exactly what she was looking for in quilting which made it nice for me! Can't wait to see it bound.
