I'm Ready for Christmas!
A month ago I really didn't see enough hours in the day or days in the week to get everything done before Christmas. But I did it! I managed to get 2 customer T-shirt quilts done from cutting to quilting, finished my shopping (but still have a couple of things to mail) and even got a disappearing 9 patch in Christmas fabrics that I made for myself in Oct, on the quilt frame and almost done. And despite the 60-70 degree weather here in the Midwest making it feel like September instead of December, we also got the house decorated this week!
So here's to all of us that are "deadline workers" and maybe bite off more than we think we can chew!
Now before I get too cocky, I have to admit that I can't spend too much time congratulating myself! I have 3 client quilts to get quilted by January 7, need to polish up my prep for the Miami Co Quilters Guild Beginner classes that I help teach, and new for the Guild--get ready for a presentation on quilting to Osawatomie High School FACS students.
So I wish all of you a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkuh, and a safe New Year!
