Bet you thought I got lost in my stash, right?
That's almost true! Spent the better part of the afternoon digging through my stash, completely reorganizing it and kitting up projects ready to start--but I did manage to find the scraps I needed to do a pieced binding on a quilt hanging in the quilt studio, ready to quilt!
I've been very busy with Guild activities--teaching Beginner class (Jan through March); coordinating and mentoring local high school FACS class members on making a quilt (Feb through this week), and spearheading our 2017 Opportunity Quilt--which we started in January and I hope to have finished quilting by early August.
Between Guild activities and customer quilts, I've hardly touched my own projects--but that changes in 10 days when we have our Spring Retreat! While I was digging through my stash today, I did pull out 3 projects to work on at Retreat. I've learned the hard way that the projects at retreat need to be the "I don't need to really think about this" kind---too many distractions! I'm debating taking a purse project that I bought 2 yrs ago--it's a summer bag so I think I will take it--maybe I can get some coaching from my quilt buddies.
One thing I won't be doing is shopping for fabric! I went on the Heartland Shop Hop 2 weeks ago and bought fabric at all 10 shops for the Kansas City Regional Quilt Fest 2017 Plexiglass Challenge. . I practically melted my credit card!
Happy Quilting and think Spring! (and getting that garden in)
