Hey! I didn't die,win Publisher's Clearinghouse and take a long vacay, or....

Yikes--haven't posted for 5 months! But I'm alive and well, and didn't win Publisher's Clearinghouse (yet) and take off on a trip around the world! Just. Plain. Busy.

The first half of 2019 was spent gearing up as guild chair for our vendor booth at K.C. Regional Quilt Fest. Wonderful show, amazing quilts, and our booth did well....and when all said and done, I was pooped, but survived!

July was all about family--long 4th family get-together and then later in the month, the kids & grandkids joined us for a week in Winter Park/Fraser. My hat is off to the whole Winter Park/Fraser/Granby valley for their outstanding barn quilt trail--everywhere!

Now I'm back home and quilting my fingers to the bone trying to catch up. Couple of "new" things for me. First is a huge Halloween quilt pieced by Lana. We decided to go with glow-in-the-dark thread. But once I priced it and the amount I'd probably need we scratched that idea. I remembered that Dusty Farrell had told my machine quilters guild that if you use a neon trilobal thread it will glow under a black light. And it does! We've even talked our guild show chair to let us hang it in the darker corner of the gym with a black light on it! Who said quilting can't be all about the whimsy and fun?
